Did You Notice...

    ... the episode starts on September 21st, 3002?

    ... the looseleaf notebook lying near Bender's leg when
        he's moving it remotely?

    ... the 48-star American flag?

    ... Zoidberg apparently has a number of redundant organs?

    ... Mildred has the Ten Commandments on her wall?

    ... the conspiracy nut's photo of the Planet Express ship,
        which has that trademark Groening overbite, came out
        looking like the Loch Ness Monster, which has the same
        overbite?

    ... the "Zoidberg skull" drawn next to the "Roswell That
        Ends Well" graffiti on the missile?

Adam Kennedy:
    ... they had a "Hard Croon" cafe because rock didn't exist yet?

Animation, Continuity, and Other Goofs

"Indiana Jones effect:" The red frontier slows down considerably
while going through the ship.  {mw}

Leela says "ax" instead of "ask" when trying to speak in 20th
Century lingo, but we know from previous episodes that she sees
this as 30th/31st Century usage that Fry isn't hep to.  {jd}

When Enos and Fry sits in the dinner there are normal city buildings
across the street. When Leela and Farnsworth order a meal from
Mildred, there you can see Roswell Airbase.  {mn}

Reviews

edeltraut: This episode gets the season off to a great start.
    It was a little predictable in parts, like when Fry killed
    Enos and ended up becoming his own grandfather, but it was
    still funny. Nice quotes, and I liked Leela and Professor's
    outfits.

Comments and Other Observations

Leela has a July 9th, 1947 edition of the Roswell Daily Record
with the headline, "Flying Saucer Captured." In fact the July 8th
headline was, "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell
Region" and the July 9th edition carried a story in which
Gen. Ramey explained that it wasn't a flying saucer after all.

The pizza they fed Zoidberg with had no anchovies. Poor guy.
