RNC Critical Mass 2004
NYC's alternative: a Bike National Convention.
o 1-up rnccm2004.html (180K)
o HUGE 14x22-in bnc-poster.pdf (9.8M)
News that the Republican National Convention was coming to
New York City inspired
a flyer featuring a great Jim Swanson graphic of
San Francisco.
Jim very awesomely made a New York City version in time for
New York's positive alternative to the RNC: the
Bike National
Convention. Print onto an 8x11 sheet of paper. (Use your
browser's "Print Preview" feature, with no margins.) Print in
"portrait" mode.
Jim also allowed the graphic to be used for a Bike National
Convention calendar by the No RNC Poster Project. There's a
small version in their gallery, and the HUGE full-sized one is here.
RNC/HTML: Layout by Whomping Willow - August 2004,
based on an August 2003 flyer.

o plain text

What will life be like without cheap oil?
World oil production will begin to decline in the next 20
years. One estimate, from a comprehensive study, says that the
decline will start before 2010, and sometime before that, the
Gulf States (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, United Arab
Emirates) will be supplying 50% of the world's oil.
